Pasta Delights

Let us begin our culinary expedition with three quintessential pasta dishes.

Rigatoni Carbonara features a creamy sauce composed of raw eggs, Pecorino Romano and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, and guanciale (Italian cured pork cheek). It offers a tasty blend of flavors.

Similarly, Bucatini Amatriciana showcases the delightful combination of guanciale, Pecorino Romano cheese, white wine, San Marzano tomatoes, black pepper, and chili, resulting in a spicy and savory masterpiece.

Cacio E Pepe is a cheesy delight- made with pecorino Romano, a salty, aged sheep’s milk cheese, and “Pepe” means black pepper. Combined together it is transformative.

These may be the regional dishes, but you can never go wrong with pasta options in Italy! Pick what looks tasty and you will not be disappointed!

Pizza Pleasures

Discover Rome's two main types of pizza.

Pizza al taglio, known as pizza by the slice is baked in sheet pans and baked to perfection. Tends to have a thicker base. This tends to be typically sold by weight.

Meanwhile, Pizza alla Romana is thin, crispy, and crunchy.

Meat Marvels

Indulge in the succulent flavors of Roman meat specialties. Abbacchio A Scottadito, known as "lamb to burnt fingers," offers tender lamb that usually is eaten right away after being grilled. Allesso di Bollito tantalizes with its tender meat served on bread soaked in savory juices. Porchetta, a deboned, slow-roasted pig infused with salt, pepper, and herbs, is a true Roman delicacy.

Vegetarian Delights

Immerse yourself in the diverse array of Roman culinary offerings. Supplì, fried creamy rice mixed with various fillings, presents a delightful street food option.

Artichokes come in two delectable forms: carciofi alla giudia (Jewish-style fried artichokes) and carciofo romanesco/alla Romana (the celebrated local globe artichoke).

Trapizzino, small warm sandwiches invented by Rome's innovative pizza maker Stefano Callegari, are filled with Roman classics. Delicious fillings and can be vegetarian-friendly.

Sweet Confections

Satisfy your sweet tooth with Roman desserts!  Gelato, the beloved frozen delight needs no explanation. All we can say is eat as much as you can!!  It can be savored at Neve di Latte, Otaleg, and other esteemed gelaterias. Did you know Otealeg is GELATO spelled backwards?!!

Maritozzi is a sweet leavened buns filled with whipped cream, are a perfect companion for an espresso.

Torta Ricotta e Visciole is a kosher cheesecake with a thick layer of ricotta cheese and sour cherries wrapped in a flaky pastry, is a must-try delicacy.

Toast with Drinks and Coffee

Enhance your culinary experience with Roman beverages. Taste vino della casa (house wine), Frascati (a local white wine), or Cesanese del Piglio (a flavorful red wine). Explore the world of Italian coffee, from the classic espresso to the indulgent Cappuccino and the intense Caffe ristretto.

Don't miss the aperitivo culture, with popular choices like Aperol spritz, Negroni, or Campari Soda, and savor the refreshing fizzy drinks and of course Limoncello!
